- In **2 Timothy 2.25**, most of the translations imply that there is a temporal sequence: repentance then knowledge of the truth.
- I had never seen that before. I guess a person must turn to God before they can learn the truth / acknowledge the truth or have knowledge of the truth. So, preaching “truth” to someone is pointless. Praying they will repent is the first step.
- This applies to every kind of truth.
