# Church Assessment - Thyatira ## Question: What plan of action would your recommend for your church? How about the American church? --- ### Background - In my note [[1627598467_Church_Assessment|Biblical Assessment of the Seven Churches]], I discussed a pattern I discovered in Jesus' [[Assessment]] of the [[Seven]] churches in **Revelation 2-3**. - This assessment of the [[Church]] in [[Thyatira]] is derived from the Berean Study Bible (BSB), [[Revelation_02|Revelation 2.18-29]]. --- ### Authority Of The Assessor - These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like a blazing fire and whose feet are like polished bronze {2.18} ### Acknowledgment of some good things - I know your deeds—your love, your faith, your service, your perseverance—and your latter deeds are greater than your first {2.19} - To the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold to Jezebel's teaching and have not learned the so-called deep things of Satan: I will place no further burden upon you {2.24} ### Condemnation of some negative things - You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess.
