Here is Biblical proof. --- ### Notes - 2023.08.30 - These notes were focused on whether Jesus IS God or not - As I was working on the [[NOJ_Study|Names of Jesus Study]] over the last few years, I changed the focus from whether Jesus IS or IS-NOT God to whether [[Jesus_IS_Called_God]] or [[Jesus_is_NOT_called_God]] - So, bottom line, these notes don't directly apply to the [[NOJ_Study|Names of Jesus Study]] - Unknown Date - In [[John_08|John 8.58]], Jesus declared He is, “I am”. In **verse 59**, the Jews rightly interpreted that to mean that Jesus was saying He is God. See also **verses 24 & 28. - [[JOhn_10|John 10.30 & 33]] - Jesus claimed to be one with the Father {30} and the Jews rightly interpreted Jesus’ statement to mean that He declared Himself to be God {33} - John clearly states in [[John_01|John 1.1]] that Jesus was God! - Since Jesus made everything, then He wasn’t created. Therefore, He is God. {[[John_01|John 1.3]]} - Thomas declared Jesus was God {28} and Jesus confirmed the declaration {29} {[[John_20|John 20.28-29]]} - Paul clearly believed Jesus is God {[[Acts_20|Acts 20.28]], [[Titus_02|Titus 2.13]]} - Peter believed Jesus is God [[2_Peter_01|2 Peter 1.1]] - Jesus was worshiped by various disciples and He didn’t rebuke them. {[[Matthew_14|Matthew 14.33]], [[Matthew_28|Matthew 28.9 & 17]], [[Luke_24|Luke 24.52]], [[John_09|John 9.35-38]]} ---
