# Time Bible Study ## Background ### 2026.02.16 - I thought I had a study on time somewhere, but I can't find it so I am starting a new one. If I find the old one, I'll merge the two together. - There are several other time-related studies out there, but their focus is generally limited and generally about God / Jesus. - [[Omnitemporality_n_Theophany_n_Incarnation_Study]] - This study is about time in general. ## Questions - What does the Bible say about time? - Based on the Bible, when did time begin and when will it end? - Will there be time in the New Jerusalem? ## ToDo - ToDo Study - - ToDo Transfer - N/A ## TL;DR - There is some sort of "life" after the "last day." {John 12.48-50} ## Chapter-by-Chapter Notes ### John 12 #### {48} ##### 2026.02.16 ###### Context - The context of the passage is about believing in Jesus ###### Notes - Jesus refers to the "last ([[G2078]]) day ([[G2250]]) " on which non-believers will be judged. - Since there is a "last day," are there no more "days" after that day? - Two verses later, Jesus said, "I know that His command leads to eternal life." Since there is "eternal ([[G0166]]) life ([[G2222]])" there must be some sort of "life" after the "last day." However, it isn't obvious to me from the context whether Jesus is referring to Himself receiving "eternal life" or others. Regardless, there is some sort of "life" after the "last day." --- ### John 16 #### {11} ##### 2026.02.17 - Jesus said "the prince of this world has been condemned." - Although "has been condemned" sounds past tense, it is actually "Perfect Indicative Middle" - Some day, I'll have to do more study on the various Greek conjugations --- ## Other Notes -
