- Blessed are those who: {2, [[H0835]]}
- Keep His testimonies {[[H5341]], [[H5713]], [[H5713b]]}
- Seek Him with all their heart {[[H1875]], [[H3605]], [[H3820]]}
- Verses 1 & 2 talk about those who are blessed, then this verse says "they do no iniquity" and "they walk in His ways" {1-3, [[H5766]], [[H5767b]]}
- Clearly, I don't "do no iniquity"
- How is it possible to "do no iniquity"
- In verse 4, the psalmist said that "You", (which I assume is God) has "ordained" ([[H6680]] His precepts ([[H6490]]) and therefore, we should keep ([[H8104]]) them diligently ([[H3966]]) {4}
- Chuck often says that the discipleship process/method that he uses is the one that Jesus used therefore it is "ordained". Although I haven't said so verbally, I have questioned his statement that it is "ordained".
- However, "ordained" in the OT really means "commanded". {4}
- Other translations for "ordained" {4}

- It is clear in the NT that Jesus commanded a lot of things such as the Great Commission. However, I don't see anywhere He commanded / ordained the process / method for making disciples. {4}

### 2019.06.12 {0, 1, 54}
- This psalm is an acrostic poem of twenty-two stanzas, following the letters of the Hebrew alphabet; within a stanza, each verse begins with the same Hebrew letter {0}
- There are 24 occurrences of "law" in this psalm. All 24 are the Torah ([[H8451]]). Most of the sections have one occurrence. However, "Beth" doesn't have any and "Zain" has 3 and "Teth" has 2. I am not sure if the "Torah" applies literally to non-Jews. However, I am sure there are principles that do apply. {0}
- There are 22 occurrences of "statutes" in this psalm. 21 of them are "choq" ([[H2706]]). However, in verse 16, it is "chuqqah" [[H2708]]. Most of the sections have one occurrence of "choq" ([[H2706]]) with the following exceptions: {0}

- **Verse 54**
- The psalmist says God's statutes ([[H2706]]) are songs ([[H2158]]) to him in the house ([[H1004]]) of his pilgrimage. In some respects, I feel the same way about the Bible. {54}
- I assume his house of pilgrimage is the Lord's temple {54}
- Pilgrimage here is "magor or magur" ([[H4033]]) which is different than in [[Psalm_084|Psalm 84.5]] where it is "mesillah" ([[H4546]]). Here it means a sojourning place, dwelling place, a sojourning and in **Psalm 84.5** it means a highway. {54}
- The RV could well be our "house of my pilgrimage" {54}
