# Prophet Mentor #### 2019.11.13 {[[Matthew_13_Notes|Matthew 13.12]]} - Yesterday, on our drive to Kim Wood's wedding, Denise and I had a long talk about what God is doing in our lives. I didn't tell Denise that I felt called as a prophet. {[[Prophet]]} - On the way home, I was talking with God about being called as a prophet. I was thinking back to when I asked God to send me a mentor to help me with evangelism. Shortly after that He connected us with Chuck and Deb. My first thought was to ask God to send me a mentor like Chuck for prophecy. I quickly retracted that request. {[[Evangelize]], [[Mentor]]} - Over the last many weeks, God has been hammering me with the concept that He is my teacher, Father, mentor, etc. So, I asked God to mentor me in prophecy. I was also reminded how it is God who sends His Spirit on the prophets. Among all the "callings", I am guessing prophecy may be unique in that it is really about being connected to God and helping others see and hear Him. So, although it may be true that the other giftings / callings should be mentored to some degree by God, I am guessing prophecy is mostly / 100% mentored by Him. - [[777]] - Lord, please teach me, mentor me, Father me to be the prophet you want me to be. - [[777]] - Please give me more {Matthew 13.12}
