So, true global net wealth is $425 trillion to $475 trillion. How much are you worth?? Perhaps this question could / should be evaluated from various points of view Certainly it is possible to put a dollar figure to my question by subtracting your debts from your assets. But, how much are you worth?? From God's point of view, Jesus said: - Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. {Luke 12.6-7 (BSB)} Although God's point of view should be the final answer, I confess I want more. Not necessarily more money or more "hair" or "sparrows," but more insight into my value. There are those on social media that get millions of clicks and most people consider them "influencers." No doubt they DO have an influence on society. However, I contend YOU have a bigger influence on those around you than some bot on social media. - Spouses influence each other - Parents and children influence each other - Neighbors influence each other - Co-workers influence each other - Drivers on the road influence each other - The list of those we influence is long and sometimes sordid Everything you say and do and the attitude you have about things influences those around you! I am constantly amazed when someone quotes something I said decades ago. Another silly example: I put granulated sugar on my french toast instead of syrup. I got that from my father and my daughter does the same. Your influence on those around you may be good or bad, positive or negative. A person's true net worth could be calculated by subtracting his negative influence from the positive influence he has on those around him. How about you? What is your net worth??
