# Mispronouncing Yahweh - I was listening to Exalted (Yahweh) by Chris Tomlin and a few thoughts came to my mind. - The story I always heard about the name "[[Yahweh]]" is that the Jewish leaders were so concerned about dishonoring His name that they eliminated the vowels and did not say His name. - What initially came to me while listening to the song was what if we are mispronouncing Yahweh today. Our fathers were so afraid to [[Dishonor]] God's name that God's [[Name]] is now dishonored because of their [[Fear]]. - I think the same thing has happened with the image of God. The religious people were so concerned with [[Lust]] that they fail to honor God as [[Creator]] of our bodies that are made in His [[Image]]. [[Pornography]] is the result. - This type of [[Sin]] started in the [[Garden]] and continues today. In **Genesis 3.3**, Eve added to God's [[Command]] by saying that they shouldn't touch the forbidden [[Fruit]]. The Jewish leaders did the same with God's name and today we do it with the [[Naked]] [[Body]]. - Paul was clear in **Colossians 2.23** that this approach to [[Life]] doesn't work. - Note: This is an [[NAU]] topic
