# NOJ - Isaiah 11.2 ## Background - See the [[Names_of_Jesus_Study]] ### Verse - All references below are to **Isaiah 11.2** - The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him—the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and strength, the Spirit of knowledge and fear of the LORD. ### Thoughts #### 2022.10.03 - It seems clear to me today that Isaiah is saying that "the LORD" and Jesus are two separate entities. Therefore, Jesus is not "the LORD" - Based on other passages, if Jesus is not "the LORD" then He is not "GOD" - [[Jesus_is_NOT_called_God]] #### 2021.05.01 - It’s not clear to me exactly to whom the “the Lord” refers. - If it is Jesus, then the verse is recursive and He fears Himself. - If it is the Father or God, then Jesus is not God. - [[Jesus_is_NOT_called_God]]
