# Mission Statement - Thoughts - 2009.01.06 ## Notes ### 2009.01.06 - As I was praying, the concept of the kingdom came to mind and I was wondering what the relationship looked like between God and His kingdom. I felt that the kingdom was an expression of who He is; a demonstration of His power and rule. - There are 150 instances of “kingdom” (G0932) in the NT (NET Bible). A large percentage (~115) are from the gospels and most of the remaining ones are from Paul’s letters. - Since my mission is to “Raise up an army to advance God’s kingdom against Satan’s strongholds”, then I should study more about the “kingdom.” - 777 - Lord, please teach me about your kingdom. - I was pondering that mission statement. I need to study each of the words in it in relationship to scripture and the world. For example, what does scripture say about Satan’s strongholds? I need to spend time in prayer discerning where they are located, physically and metaphorically. - 777 - Lord, speak to me about all this. You say in J**eremiah 33:3**, “'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.' I am calling to you. Help me to hear and obey! After you teach me the knowledge, tell me what to do about it. - Some strongholds that come to mind are human trafficking (HT), India, Hinduism, Islam and Buddhism. Assuming this is true, then this is an answer to our prayer requests about our India team strategy. We need to figure out how to do both! - I think the answer I hear so far, I need to head-up two teams. One focused on HT and one on India. Then, since I will be leading both, there will be opportunities to address HT in India as well as other places. - 777 - Lord, if this is what you are calling me to do, then I ask you to work out the details.
