See the note above for the comparison with **Genesis 3.7**. Since Adam and Eve said they were afraid, hid themselves from God and put on an apron, is there some connection with fear. Is the apron and the belt of truth somehow connected with fear? Does the belt of truth somehow combat fear? ### 2011.03.24 {14-17} See my note on [[Genesis_03_Notes#2011.03.24 {7}|Genesis 3.7]] comparing the [[Belt_of_Truth|belt of truth]] with the fig leaf apron that Adam and Eve constructed. ### 2011.02.25 {14-17} - Scripture is clear. We are to be clothed! In **Ephesians 6.14-17** Paul identifies several articles of clothing that we need to put on. - [[Belt_of_Truth|Belt of truth]] around my waist - Breastplate of righteousness - Shoes of peace - Shield of faith - Helmet of salvation - Sword of Spirit - It is obvious that Paul is not talking about textile clothing. Even at that, it is interesting that none of the items mentioned cover the genitals. The closest item to the genitals is the "Belt of Truth" Wow! I just noticed that the article of warfare that Paul chose to put closest to the genitals is a belt of truth. It seems this is meant as a defense of the lies of [[Satan]]. Ever since the garden, Satan has convinced us that there is something evil about our genitals. - It is also interesting to note that the first piece of [[armor]] mentioned is the belt of truth placed near the genitals. The first thing we need to address is Satan's lie to mankind about [[Naked|nudity]] and our [[Body|bodies]]. ---
