# Be Ready - Thursday, 2025.12.04 Matthew's version of the Lord's prayer includes a quote from Jesus as an Epilogue. It says, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive yours." {Matthew 6.14-15 (BSB)} This is one of the strongest statements in the New Testament. Other than Jesus, I doubt there is anyone who has ever lived that doesn't harbor as least tiny bit of bitterness toward someone. All it takes is just one very small "sin" to be excluded forever!! (Just one thin mint) WE ALL DESERVE HELL!! However, Jesus died on the cross to pay the price for my sin and everyone else's. So, anyone who puts their trust in Jesus as their Lord and Savior will avoid hell and spend eternity with our Father. Thank You Father for providing a way back to You!!
