# Be Ready - Thursday, 2025.11.27 ## 27 - Our Debts ALL of us have sinned and fallen short of God's glory!!!! {Romans 3.23} Regardless whether the word is translated "debts," "sins," "wrongs", "shortcomings" or "offences" the tl;dr, I screwed-up and the correct penalty is spending eternity separated from God (a.k.a. HELL). Although the wages of sin is death, the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord {Romans 6.23} Therefore on this day of Thanksgiving, the number one recipient of thanks should be Jesus for voluntarily hanging on the cross to pay the price for my sins (and yours). ### Disciple's Prayer So then, this is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’ {Matthew 6.9-13 (BSB)} ### Oh By The Way If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us. {1 John 1.8-10 (BSB)}
