# Be Ready - Sunday, 2025.11.23 ## 23 - Daily Father, Your Son taught us to pray to You asking for "daily" bread. I believe He was teaching us about the importance of connecting with You everyday. It shouldn't just be a once-a-week thing on Sundays or even worse; identifying as CEO (Christmas & Easter Only) Christians. Certainly, we do need to meet together regularly, but I believe in this "Lord's Prayer" passage, Jesus is talking about a daily, intimate thing between us and You. {Hebrews 10.25} Father, I am asking that You put it on our hearts to feel starved until we meet with you everyday! - I know there are some who have no experience connecting with their creator. Please meet them where they are and grow them into mature believers. - I know there are some who have met with you many times in the past. But, for whatever reason the weeds of life have choked out their relationship with You. Please convict them and draw them back to you! - Finally, I know there are also some who are mature in their relationship with you. Please take them even deeper. Show them more and more of Your character. - {Compare with Mark 4.1-9, 13-20} Father, please make all of us like the Bereans - noble minded - willing to receive Your message with great eagerness - committed to examining Your Word everyday {Acts 17.11} ### Passage So then, this is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’ {Matthew 6.9-13 (BSB)}
