## 19 - Give
Father,
I know you are a good God who loves Your children and wants to give good gifts to us!
It seems you desire that we ask you for what we need / want instead of just expecting that you will provide. Of course, that is consistent with any relationship. Jesus taught His followers (and us) to "ask, seek & knock."
Father, I want to know You. Please, not only give me the daily bread I need to survive, but please give me knowledge of Yourself!
### Passages
So then, this is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’
{Matthew 6.9-13 (BSB)}
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
{Matthew 7.7-8 (BSB)}
I am writing to you, little children, because your sins have been forgiven through His name. I am writing to you, fathers, because you know Him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I have written to you, children, because you know the Father. I have written to you, fathers, because you know Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.
{1 John 2.12-14 (BSB)}
