# Truth and Ears to Hear - Last Sunday, we were discussing **John 15.26-27**. One of the topics we lingered on was truth. This verse strongly implies that the Advocate and the "Spirit of Truth" are one and the same. We also briefly discussed the truth (pun intended) that the Bible says Jesus is both "light" and "truth" - This prompted me to review my study on Truth. Sadly, there wasn't much there. - This morning, **Psalm 42.1** came to mind. I noted in my study on "The Secret Things of the Lord" that this verse is a good description of my heart in my quest. - As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul longs after You, O God. {Psalm 42.1 (BSB)} - As I was reading the whole Psalm, I saw a note that reads: - "In many Hebrew manuscripts **Psalms 42** and **Psalm 43** constitute one psalm." - So, this prompted me to read **Psalm 43**. **Verse 3a** of **Psalm 43** asks God to - "Send out Your light and Your truth' let them lead me. - In light (pun intended) of our conversation on Sunday, this really hit me. It is always so cool when God causes all these things to happen. - Yesterday, I got to spend ~3-hours hanging out with my Father. I think that most of the time when I do that, it sharpens my senses to hear from God. - WOW! As I was typing that last paragraph, I realized that the main topic I discussed with God yesterday had to do with a phrase that Jesus repeated often, "he who has ears, let him hear". Up until just a few minutes ago, I didn't think I heard an answer.
