- Jesus is commending those who are aggressively pursuing His [[Kingdom]]. I need to look for such people
- God wants us to aggressively go after His Kingdom
- The “violence = [[G0971]]” and “violent men = [[G0973]]” are both positive.
- See also my notes on [Luke 16.16](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1M7hL4IaUQb5SmrDwNeuVHG2qpEhuKy1GRVOPPpwhauA/edit#bookmark=id.goj3sm42nbb8)

- I am confused by **verse 8**. All of the translations are very similar. However, the Greek doesn’t have a word for clothing in either of the two occurrences in the English.
- There are two verbs ([[G0294]] & [[G5409]]) related to being dressed or wearing. The first of these ([[G0294]]) is also used in **Matthew 6.30** and **Luke 12.28** to describe how God clothes the grass.
- The word for “fine” ([[G3120]]) is better translated “soft” or effeminate

- Jesus didn’t defend His title. He told John’s disciples to report what they heard and saw as Jesus did what what was [[Prophecy|prophesied]] about Him.
- Compare with [[Luke_07|Luke 7.18-23]] and see my notes on [[1442481498_J-150917|J-150917]]

- We are to be yoked to Jesus. It is to Him we are [[Accountability|accountable]].
- Although this verse doesn’t specifically prohibit “ [[Accountability_Group|accountability groups]]”, it implies we are only accountable to Jesus.
- On the other hand, there are other verses that command us to [[Submit]] to others and to [[Confess]] our [[Sin|sins]] to others.
- Some may see this as a minor point, but I think it is a very important Biblical principle. There is no Biblical basis for me to hold anyone else accountable. However, I am to submit to others.
- [[777]] - Lord, please give me more on this subject.

- I have some thoughts about the “things” Jesus refers to in **Matthew 11.25** and in [Luke 10.21](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wMfrUyoL9JIH8TQCw7LeV8dYxegWu_PYpXg5eTmpWs0/edit#bookmark=id.dja4cu84ztpi). In this passage, it would seem that Jesus is referring to The Father. In the passage above, He could be referring to His [[Kingdom]].

- Similar to [Matthew 10:18](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zeXYSDQZbHL_U9tG9FUNa0eMf0lVaCo82JryJQV26AM/edit#bookmark=id.u54fw72i7z3a), [[Kingdom]] ([[G0932]]) is not in the Greek, but in the MSG paraphrase takes the concept of the law and the [[Prophet|prophets]] and talks about it in terms of preparing the way for the [[Messiah]] of the Kingdom.

- In these two verses, Jesus took the opportunity to first teach about [[John_the_Baptist|John the Baptist]] and then He pivoted to teaching about the [[Kingdom]]. He uses this approach quite often. As we saw in other verses, by His own words, preaching the Kingdom is His primary mission.
- I really don't understand these verses. How is is possible for those mighty people of God who lived prior to Jesus birth to be least in the Kingdom. The NET sn says: After John comes a shift of eras. The new era is so great that the lowest member of it (the one who is least in the kingdom of God) is greater than the greatest one of the previous era.
- [[777]] - Lord, please show me what this means. Please help me understand how it fits with the [[Bride]] stuff and [[Omnitemporal|omnitemporality]] stuff you have been showing me.
- Kingdom notes
- Speaker - Jesus
- Audience - A crowd that had been around when the disciples of John the Baptist came to ask about Jesus. It appears they left prior to Jesus teaching about the kingdom.
- Message - See notes above.

- According to the NET note, the "yoke" refers figuratively to "the restrictions that a teacher or rabbi would place on his followers."
- This view certainly clears up the image.
- Jesus' yoke produces blessings. Either living without it or fighting against it reduces or eliminates the [[Blessing]] He has for me.
