# J-2009.11.22 --- - I couldn't sleep last night and I decided to spend the time talking with God. [[NN#NN-5|NN]] After a little while, the answer I heard was to take up my cross and follow Jesus. This is very similar to the answer I heard on 2009.09.11 (see [[1257786148_J-2009.11.09|J-2009.11.09]]) where I was convicted that I needed to sacrifice my Freedom for Jesus. - After getting up, I continued the conversation with God and a couple of thoughts came to me; taking up my cross could be interpreted a couple of ways. [[NN#NN-6|NN]] Or, it could also mean that I need to sacrifice my standing in society and take a stand against the Religious_Spirit that has invaded mankind. - 777 - Lord, show me what you want me to do and I will do my best to do it. I will need your help no matter which direction you want me to go. - I then started to ponder what Jesus did for us. He is God, the Creator and He sacrificed His freedom to come to Earth as a baby and finally hang on a cross. His sacrifice of freedom is infinite. Trying to compare any sacrifice I make is ludicrous.
